I have a degree in Pharmacy and a Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Espírito Santo. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD with a focus on exploring multifunctional systems for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) cancer, specifically glioblastoma, via nasal administration. My experience encompasses in vitro biological screening of drugs and active compounds for clinical and agricultural applications, as well as the development and optimization of pharmaceutical formulations based on polymeric materials and inclusion complexes, and the basic characterization of natural products.
At present, I am a Guest Student in Professor Dr. Gianni Ciofani's Smart Bio-Interface Group (SB-I) at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Pontedera, Italy. In this position, I have been engaging in activities centered on analyzing the biological activity of functionalized lipid nanoparticles using microfluidic devices to study their interactions with normal and tumoral cells under dynamic conditions.
