Valerio Francesco Annese (19/06/1991) received his B.Eng. degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering and his M.Sc.(Magna cum laude) degree in electronics engineering from the Technical University of Bari (Italy) in 2014 and 2016 respectively. From 2014 to 2016 he was a research assistant at the DEISLab@Technical University of Bari. In 2016 he joined the Microsystem Technology (MST) group at the University of Glasgow (United Kingdom) as a PhD Researcher, where he received his PhD in Electronic Engineering in 2020. From 2020 to 2021, Valerio was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Glasgow working on Point-of-care technology. In 2022 and 2023, Valerio was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Printed and Molecular Electronics group at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Milan (Italy) working in the EU-funded ROBOFOOD project. From 2024, Valerio is a Marie Curie Individual Fellow working on the EDISENS project (https://edisensproject.eu/) aiming at delivering bioresorbable sensors for gastrointestinal tract monitoring.
